THE first title shot of his career beckons for Bloxwich’s Ryan Woolridge – although the belt at stake remains a mystery.

Southpaw Ryan takes the step up to 10 championship rounds at the Bescot Stadium, home of his beloved Walsall FC, on November 14. It the headliner on BCB Promotions’ “Lights Out” show.

The 24-year-old, trained by former pro Peter Hickenbottom, is unbeaten in 13 fights and BCB say details of the opponent and belt will be announced shortly.

I expect it to be an international title.

It will be the fifth time the diehard Walsall fan has boxed at the Bescot and with his team riding high in League Two, hopefully it will be celebrations all round this season.

The undercard sees Stourbridge’s popular Ben Collins box for the second time this year as the Queensbury Promotions’ 21-year-old continues his climb towards an area title fight.

Burton’s Connor Parker is having his busiest year since 2019, and the former Midlands Area champion will get his third run out in six months as he looks to secure another major title shot in 2026.

After a winning debut in September, Liam Carey is looking to follow up that points victory over Luke Thomas with his second four-rounder.

*Tickets are available now, priced at £45 for general admission and £80 for VIP ringside, from the boxers directly or by emailing info@bcb-promotions.com.
