HIS pro journey may have only just begun, but Brad Willetts is amassing a mighty following.
That was underlined by Sunday’s press conference to publicly unveil Scott Murray’s bumper fight card at Chase Leisure Centre, Cannock, on September 13.
Plenty of champions were present at the town’s Premier Suite, Dudley’s Willetts generated the most noise, courtesy of his fans.
It could be the same on September 13 when Brad chases his fourth straight win.

“I’m doing a four rounder,” the 25-year-old said, “and it should be my last four rounder. I made my debut on September 13 last year, so it will be the first anniversary exactly. It’s a great show to be on, a great platform.”
Thing are going very well for Willetts, trained by Les Sharratt and his father – perhaps better than he expected. Brad has marked himself as one to watch and is edging towards a Midlands title fight.
“I couldn’t ask for a better team, better support, better network of people,” he said. “I’m loving the journey, I’m a lot more confident.
“I never had that amateur style. I’ll take one job at a time. I’d love to fight for a Midlands title – whatever comes my way, I’ll take it.
“My followers show me so much support and loyalty and on the night they’ll make themselves heard. I go down to them on fight night and thank them all for coming. It’s a routine.”
At this level, so is having his hand raised in victory.
